Helen N. Stuhrenberg

Helen N. Stuhrenberg, 82, Greensburg, IN. passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. She was born July 21, 1928 in New Point, IN. the daughter of Leo and Matilda (Gigrich) Volk. She was a 1946 graduate of New Point High School. Helen graduated from St. Vincent's School of Nursing in 1949. She worked as a Registered Nurse throughout her career. In her retirement, she enjoyed genealogy, flower gardening, reading and photography. She was married to Albert H. Stuhrenberg on August 20, 1952 and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1964. She is survived by four children; Teresa (Ross) Unseld, Anthony (Cindy) Stuhrenberg, Rose (Mike) Feaster, Thomas (Christin) Stuhrenberg; three grandchildren, Kevin Stuhrenberg, Brian Stuhrenberg, and Jared Unseld. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Tracey Diane Stuhrenberg. Helen was a lifetime member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Enochsburg, IN. Public visitation will be from 8:30-10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg and from 10:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church in Enochsburg. A rosary will be prayed at 10:45 a.m. at the church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Enochsburg with Rev. John Geis officiating. Interment will be held in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Enochsburg, IN. Memorials may be made to the Greensburg Public Library.
