Bernardine E. Strunck, 92, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Morning Breeze in Greensburg.
Born April 19, 1919 in Ripley County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Albert and Molly (Picker) Wagner.
Bernardine was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville. She was also a member of the New Horizons Auxiliary in Batesville, a member of the Senior Citizens in Greensburg and Batesville, a 4-H leader for many years in Ripley County. She was an avid quilt maker and card player. She lived and worked many years on the farm with her husband.
She was married to August J. Strunck on April 25, 1942 and he preceded her in death on February 13, 1982.
She is survived by one son, Daniel (Linda) Strunck, Yorktown; two daughters, Dianne (Keith) Coffey, West College Corner, Donna (Bob) Stewart, Greensburg; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Freda Schwering.
Visitation will be from 9-10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary service will be held on Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment will be held in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Batesville.
Memorials may be made to the New Horizon Auxiliary in Batesville or to the Greensburg Senior Citizens.
