Mildred A. Mauer

Mildred A. Mauer, 93, Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Community Hospital East in Indianapolis. Born November 15, 1919 in St. Maurice, Indiana, she was the daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth (Berkemeier) Mauer. She graduated from Arsenal Tech High School, she attended the Little Flower Catholic Church in Indianapolis and she was a licensed LPN. She retired after 37 1/2 years from Indiana Bell in Indianapolis. Mildred never married. She is survived by several nephews, Eugene, Gary, John, Marvin, and Vincent Grote, Donald and Kenneth Mauer, Ralph, Bob, and Bill Kramer; two nieces, Marilyn Huseland and Joan Fischer. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joseph and Norbert Mauer; three sisters, Hilda M. Grote, Pauline Muckerheide and Christine Kramer. Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund.
