Carl I. Gauck, 81, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was born in Franklin County, Indiana on November 28, 1931, the son of Ivan A. and Helen L. (Carel) Gauck. Carl served in Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He retired from Hill Rom after working for 40 years. He was married to Viola Cramer on July 5, 1974 and she preceded him in death on March 14, 2013. He is by three sons, Steve Gauck, Greensburg, David Gauck, Greensburg, Randy Gauck, Greensburg; one daughter, Christine Elliott, Butlerville; one step son, Larry Davis, Greensburg; one brother, Daniel Joseph Gauck, Batesville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents,, wife; one step daughter, Betty Land; two step sons, Jerry Davis, Danny Davis; two grandchildren, Jennifer Powers, Thomas Land III. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment with military graveside services will be held in the Hebron Cemetery in Adams.
