Lowell T. Murphy, 76, of Greensburg, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on February 24, 1937, the son of Eddie and Iona (Reed) Murphy.
Lowell retired in 1999 from the Ford Motor Co.
He was married to Emma Corn on November 3, 1956 and she survives.
He is also survived by three daughters, Audrey Gearhart, Greensburg, Linda (Don) Wisker, St. Paul, Kala (Douglas) Budd, Greensburg; two brothers, James Murphy, Michigan, Curtis Murphy, Greensburg; two sisters, Christine Mathis, Greensburg, Faye Eldridge, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Joseph Gearhart, Jeremy Wisker, Jodi Griffin, John Sansing, Jade Sansing; three great grandchildren, Mikalyn Gearhart, Gage Gearhart, Blade Wisker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Marvin E. Murphy, William R. Murphy; one sister, Nancy Morrow.
Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Perry Cook officiating.
Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Labre Indian School.
