Elsie M. Hardebeck, 88, Millhousen, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Morning Breeze in Greensburg.
Born July 13, 1925 in Hamburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Clemens and Stella (Schebler) Lecher.
She worked for several years as a cook at Stones Tavern in Millhousen. She also cleaned house. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she taught CCD classes for over 30 years. She was a member of the St. Anne's Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John.
She was married to Irvin Hardebeck on September 16, 1948 and he survives.
She is also survived by two sons, Patrick Hardebeck, Millhousen, Phillip Hardebeck, Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Dan Lecher, New Point, Tom Lecher, Oldenburg; two sisters, Thelma Harpring, Columbus, Arlene Feldman, Greensburg; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Jane Ann Hardebeck; one sister, Gertrude Horan.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg and from 9-10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen. A rosary service for family and friends will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Bill Turner officiating.
Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
