Rita M. Kramer, 89, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Waldron Health & Rehab Center in Waldron, IN.
She was born in Oldenburg, Indiana on October 2, 1923 to Jacob and Elizabeth (Nunlist) Werner.
Rita was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg and she was a 50 year member of the St. Lawrence Auxiliary.
She was married to Jacob Kramer on September 14, 1946 and he preceded her in death on January 2, 1990.
Rita is survived by two sons; Joseph (Debbie) Kramer, Columbus, Charles (Carol) Kramer, Greensburg, seven daughters; Dorothy Kramer, Westport, Dolores (Tom) Nielson, Columbus, Patricia (Robert) Klene, Greensburg, Marietta (James) Hagerty, Westport, Joanne (Kenneth) Scudder, Greensburg, Rose (Thomas) Parker, Greensburg, Margie (Robert) Wood, Greensburg, one sister; Henrietta Stein, Oldenburg, 32 grandchildren, and 82 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers; Mathias, Leo, Joseph, and Henry Werner, three sisters; Sr. Rita Agnes of Sisters of St. Francis, Gertrude Riedeman, and Elenora Kramer.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. The family will lead a rosary service following visitation on Sunday.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s Building Fund.
