Dennis P. Hill, 55, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at his residence. Born, May 15, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of Donald and Carol (Coomes) Hill. Dennis graduated in 1976 from Howe High School in Indianapolis. He was a former truck driver for Sharon Brown Trucking. He had worked at J & T. Ag, S & S Expediting, and as a bus driver for the North Decatur Schools. He was a member of the St. Maurice Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and an usher. He loved driving his race car at Anderson Speedway. He was also an assistant girls basketball coach at North Decatur. He was married to Carolyn A. (Beatty) Holzer on June 25, 1994 and she survives. He is also survived by his parents in Indianapolis; one son, Jeremy (Mary) Hill, Greensburg; one daughter, Brittney (Chris) Mason, Springhill, Fl.; one step son, Danny (Danielle) Holzer, Greensburg; two step daughters, Amy Holzer, Shelbyville, Julie (Nick) Wenning, Greensburg; four brothers, William (Anita) Hill, Joseph (Jean) Hill, Donnie (Paula) Hill, Tim Hill; one sister, Bridget (Roger) McClellan; eleven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary for family and friends will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the St. Maurice Catholic Church in St. Maurice with Rev. Bill Ehalt officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Maurice Catholic Church, the Riley Children's Hospital, or to St. Jude's Research.
