Ernie R. "Turbo" Johnston

Ernie R. "Turbo" Johnston, 45, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at his residence in Greensburg. Ernie was born on December 3, 1967 in Greensburg to Ernest Wayne Johnston and Ginny (Dwenger) Colson. Ernie graduated from Greensburg High School in 1986. He worked as a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Greensburg, and was a past Commander of the American Legion Post 64 in Indianapolis. Ernie is survived by the Love of his Life; Angie Carder and her children; Holly, Tyler, Cody, and Brandon Filler. He is also survived by his daughter; Brittnay Burkhart and a granddaughter, 4 brothers; Michael (Lisa) Johnston, Josh Colson, Jeryd Colson, and Wess Johnston, 3 uncles; Tom Dwenger, John (Barb) Dwenger, Bill Dwenger, 3 aunts; Judy (Gene) Ison, Norita (Don) Smith, Glenda Carr, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Hilmar Jr. and Lillian (Blanton) Dwenger, Easley and Ruth Johnston, and Lewis and Elsie Blanton. Visitation will be held at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 2:00-3:00 pm with a Memorial Service following at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
