Nancy J. Butz

Nancy J. Butz, 71, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2013 at the Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Born November 4, 1941 in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Irvin and Cleo (Andrews) Cook. Nancy graduated in 1959 from Greensburg High School. She had worked at Minears, the Pines Restaurant, and in home health care. She had been a member of the Beta Sigma Pi Sorority and a member of the Decatur County Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered in the gift shop and was in charge of the books for the gift shop. She was married to John A. Butz on June 20, 1959 and he survives. She is also survived by one daughter, Beth Ann (Dave) Moore, Greensburg; one sister, Linda (Tom) Newman, Greensburg; five grandchildren, Blake Butz, Brandon Butz, Shawn (Heather) Moore, Amanda Moore, Jordan Moore; two great grandchildren, Grace & Wyatt Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Steve Butz. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Danny Wolford officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or to the Greensburg-Decatur County Library.
