Marguerite L. Bridges

Marguerite L. Bridges, 91, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Morning Breeze in Greensburg. Born May 12, 1922 in Jennings County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Otis O. and Mary I. (Wheeldon) Moore. She graduated from Greensburg High School in 1941. She received the Girls Athletic Association award while in high school. She retired from the Greensburg Junior High School cafeteria. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Shiloh Rebekah Lodge # 560. She was married to Charles C. Bridges on May 3, 1945 in Greensburg and he preceded her in death on February 12, 1989. She is survived by three daughters, Linda S. Campbell, Gosport, Carolyn Bridges, Seymour, Mary L. (Bobby) Fortner, Greensburg; two sisters, June (Fred) Swegman, Greensburg, Jo Ann Kress, Greensburg; three grandchildren, Alan (Sheri) Campbell, Greensburg, Brian (Shasta) Campbell, Rogers, Ark., Valerie (Shawn) Land, Greensburg; three great grandsons and three great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; three brothers, Dale Moore, Herbert Moore, Charles Moore; two sisters, Helen Garrett, Alta Mae Hartzell. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Danny Wolford officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Alzheimers Association.
