Hazle J. Kelso

Hazle J. Kelso, 92, passed away at Morning Breeze Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 21, 2014. She was born in Decatur County on November 22, 1921 to James and Emily (Oaks) Tinker. Hazle graduated from St. Paul High School in 1939. She was a former nurse’s aide at Decatur County Memorial Hospital and she worked in private residential care. Hazle was married to Edward J. Kelso on December 8, 1945 and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1970. Hazle is survived by 3 sons; Stephen (Sally) Kelso, Greensburg, Jeffrey (Brenda) Kelso, Greensburg, Todd (Kathy) Kelso, Greensburg, daughter; Pamela (Robert) Winkler, Ft. Myers, FL., 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 3 sisters; Mary Schultz, Kate Miller, and Charlotte “Tillie” Johnston. Visitation will be from 10 am - 1 pm Friday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Wolford officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or to Hospice.
