Doris Allyne Allan

Doris Allyne Allan, 95, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born May 25, 1919 in Fort Payne, Alabama, she was the daughter of Thomas P. and Carrie M. (Atkinson) Hanner. She graduated from Commerce High School in Detroit, Michigan. She retired from the Fisher Body Division of General Motors. She was married to John Allan and he preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, J. Presly Harrington; two daughters, Mary K. Reed, Shirley J. Anderson; one brother, Jack Hanner; one sister, Helen Jarrait; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren living in Michigan and Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sons, D. Garthe Harrington, M. Daneith Harrington; one brother, Thomas P. Hanner II; one sister, Carrie M. Copple. Memorial services for family and friends will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg. The date and time will be announced later.
