Wayne Thomas Shull, 67, passed away at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus on Thursday, January 30, 2014.
Tom was born in Anderson, IN on September 16, 1946 to Kenneth Ray Shull and A. Joyce Owens.
Tom graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1965. He then joined the Navy and served during the Vietnam War. After his time in the Navy, Tom came to Greensburg and was the owner of Shull’s Barber Shop where he was a barber for over 40 years. Tom also did some work as a professional photographer. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Knights of St. John, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion Post 129, all in Greensburg. Tom was an Eagle Scout and was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America. He was also a member of The Spokesman, which was a bicycle club that traveled throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Tom was married to Jane Lohman on July 17, 1982 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his mother; A. Joyce Lucas-Richey, Shelbyville, wife; Jane Shull, Greensburg, and daughter; Jennifer (Nick) Schutte, Greensburg.
Tom was preceded in death by his biological father; Kenneth Ray Shull, and his dad; Kenneth H. Lucas.
A public rosary will begin at 1 pm on Sunday with visitation to follow until 5 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
There will be visitation on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 9-10 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg followed by funeral services at 10 am with Rev. John Meyer and Rev. Dave Kobak, OFM officiating.
Burial and military graveside rites will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Hospice or the Greensburg Animal Shelter.
