Fred Mclean

Fred McLean, 93, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Aspen Place in Greensburg.  Born, September 1, 1920 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of Clyde F. and Bertha M. (Beach) McLean.  Fred operated Universal Manufacturing in Indianapolis for over 40 years.  He was a a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Murat Shrine, and he also attended the Springhill Presbyterian Church.  He was married to Phyllis Behr on November 28, 1943 and she preceded him in death on July 8, 2005.  He is survived by one son, Dan McLean, Greensburg; one daughter, Terry Lee Brown, St. Petersburg, FL; one brother, Douglas D. McLean, Zephyr Hills, FL; one sister, Marjorie Ann Ebel, Bradenton, FL; one grandson and two great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.  Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Margaret Lowe officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Murat Shrine, the Shriners Hospital Cincinnati Burn Unit, or Our Hospice of Southeastern Indiana.
