Loretta T. Blankman, 84, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus. Born April 28, 1929 in Harrison, Ohio, she was the daughter of Elmer and Elizabeth (Hoerst) Roell. Loretta was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She was married to Joseph B. Blankman, Jr. on May 6, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2005. She is survived by one son, Michael (Julie) Blankman, Ft. Wayne; Mary Beth (Robert) Grace, Wellington, FL, Ruth (Dennis) Coomer, Greensburg, Janet Colson, Greensburg, Dorothy (Jerry) Fry, Greensburg; one brothers, Lawrence Roell, Harrison, OH; three sisters, Sr. Bernice Roell, Oldenburg, Ruth Huguenard, Brookville, Mary Vanderpohl, Greensburg; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Jerome, Earl Robert, and Leo Roell; one sister, Hilda Roell; one grandson, Jeremy Capper; one great Granddaughter, Marissa Colson. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary service for family and friends will be held on Monday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Decatur County Right To Life.
