Dr. Ricardo C. Domingo, 84, Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Harbour Manor in Noblesville. Born, April 30, 1929 in Jaen, Philippines, he was the son of Rodrigo and Salud (Cruz) Domingo. Dr. Domingo received his medical degree at the Santo Tomas University in Manila, Philippines. He arrived in Chicago in 1959 and completed his internship in internal medicine and completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology. In September of 1967 he founded R.C. Domingo, M.D., Inc Family Practice & Obstetrics in Greensburg. Dr. Domingo had served as President & CEO of Southeast Services, Inc. and Practicing physicians of Greensburg. He had been President and Medical Director of Morning Breeze Retirement Community & Healthcare Center, President of the Surgery Center of Southeastern Indiana, Past Board Member and Chief of Staff at Decatur County Memorial Hospital twice. He had been a member of the Fellowship of American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Indiana State Medical Association, the Indiana Philippine Medical Association where he had served as President. He was a Member and Past President of Decatur County Medical Society and Medical Director of Heritage House Nursing Home. He was a former board member of the YMCA. Dr. Domingo was the former owner of the Bonanza Restaurant in Greensburg. He had received several prestigious awards, including the Sagamore of the Wabash, Spirit of Greensburg Award, District Hoosier Award. He was married to Edna L. Schwier on August 15, 1992 in Greensburg and she survives. He is also survived by three sons, Ricardo R. (Nancy) Domingo, Jr., La Feria, Texas, Ronaldo R. (Joyce) Domingo, Greensburg, Raynard J. (Laura) Domingo, Greensburg; one daughter, Ronelisa R. (Paul) Clark, Indianapolis; one step-son, Eric McKibben, Indianapolis; one step-daughter, Erin (Alan) Vonderheide, Zionsville; two brothers, Rolando C. (Lita) Domingo, Rodrigo C. (Beth) Domingo, Jr.; 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Geraldo C. Domingo, Ponciana C. Domingo; two sisters, Zenaida C. Domingo, Myrna C. Ampon. Visitation will be from 3-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary will be prayed at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A Funeral Prayer Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund.
