Lowell “Tom” Henderson, 79, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.  Born, May 14, 1934 in Ripley County, Indiana, he was the son of William Grant and Edna (Gabbard) Henderson. Tom joined the Navy in 1952 and served his country for 4 years. He then began working for John Moore Trucking and drove trucks for them for over 30 years. Tom was married to Sue (Ponder) Brown on April 15, 1994 in Hamilton, OH and she survives. He is also survived by 3 step-sons; David (Norma) Brown, Greensburg, Dennis Brown, New Palestine, Daryel Brown, Westport, 2 step-daughters; Karen (Mark) Ricketts, Greensburg, Kathy ("Cowboy") Brown, Phoenix, AZ, 1 brother; William T. “Rocky” (Harriet) Henderson, Greensburg, 1 sister; Faye Buell, Greensburg, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Paul Wenning officiating. Visitation will follow the Funeral Services on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made the Alzheimer’s Association.
