Dennis J. Meyer, 64, Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his home. Born, September 29, 1949 in Batesville, Indiana, he was the son of Victor J. and Marie C. (Hartman) Meyer. Dennis graduated from Batesville High School in 1967. He was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena of St. Maurice Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was married to Marlene S. Nobbe on March 27, 1976 and she survives. He is also survived by one son, Al (Jessica) Meyer, Greensburg; four daughters, Cathy (A.J.) Bedel, Greenwood, Nancy Meyer, Washington, DC, Paula (Matt) Davis, Noblesville, Melanie (Donnie) Barber, Greensburg; six brothers, Eugene (Karen) Meyer, Brookville, Gary (Sue) Meyer, Batesville, Roy (Berna) Meyer, Batesville, Joe (April) Meyer, Batesville, John (Linda) Meyer, Batesville, Jerome (Nancy) Meyer, Batesville; six sisters, Grace (Arthur) Schneider, Batesville, Yvonne (Ronald) Schneider, Sunman, Mary Louise Meyer and Richard Cartwright, Oldenburg, Eileen (Tim) Duff, Hamilton, OH, Carolyn (Dale) Sorber, Rushville, Susan (Brad) Everage, Simpsonville, KY; eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Emily Meyer. Visitation will be from 3-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary for family and friends will be prayed at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the St. Catherine of Siena of St. Maurice Catholic Church with Rev. Bill Ehalt officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Catholic Relief Services or to the Food for the Poor.
