Beverly J. Gardner, 78, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg.
Born, January 8, 1936 in Hannibal, Missouri, she was the daughter of Edward "Whitey" Alexander and Ida M. (McCann) Turner.
She graduated from New Salem High School in 1954. She worked as a nurses aid for several years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Greensburg.
She was married to Glenn Richard Gardner on July 21, 1981 and he preceded her in death on June 18, 2008.
She is survived by three sons, Duane (Julie) Noah, Blakely, CA, Bill (Sharon Welsh) Noah, Shelbyville, Dean (Lynda) Noah, Greensburg; one daughter, D. Sue (Bill) Plummer, Connersville; one step-son; Jeff (Julie) Gardner, Greensburg, one step-daughter; Jill (Chris) Schroeder, Greensburg; four brothers, Rex (Janet) Alexander, St. Paul, Mike (Mary) Alexander, Columbus, Ron (Estelle) Draper, Florida, Mark (Martha) Turner, Greensburg; 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one step-son, David Gardner; one sister, Penny Martin; one grandson, Logan Perez.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Eastern Star Services and Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Jerran Jackson officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer unit at the Heritage House Nursing Home.
