Eddie D. "Mr. Ed" McClain, 78, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
Born, October 14, 1935 in Pineville, W. Virginia, he was the son of Elman W. McClain and Irene (Jackson) Cook.
Ed was the former owner of the Mr. Ed's Supermarket in Greensburg.
He was a Veteran of the Army.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Greensburg.
He was married to Jean Minary and she survives.
He is also survived by one daughter, Debbie (Randy) Mullins, Batesville; two brothers, Jim McClain, Muncie, Bob McClain, W. Virginia; one grandson, Bryce Mullins, Batesville; one step granddaughter, Kelly (Rob) Bulmer, Broookville; three great grandchildren, Jake, Max and Josie Bulmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John D. McClain; sister, Elaine Huffman.
Visitation will be from 12-3:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. P.T. Wilson, Rev. Susan Bunting and Rev. Mark Bond officiating.
Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church.
