Cornelius "Bud" Wewee, 91, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Ashford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville.
Born, June 3, 1923 in Rushville, Indiana, he was the son of Howard J. Wewee and Edith(Bischoff) Wewee.
Bud was a farmer for 34 years, a bus driver for the Decatur County Schools for 15 years and he worked for the Greensburg Schools for 30 years.
He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Navy.
He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He enjoyed bowling.
He was married to Virginia M. Roberts on November 9, 1945 and she preceded him in death on October 3, 2005.
He is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Jeff) Smith, Flat Rock, Kim (Dennis) Helms, Indianapolis; granddaughter, Nicole (Dan) Niese, Greensburg along with three other grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; one brother, Dewitt Wewee; one sister, Frances Justus.
A prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m. followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment with full military services will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund or to the Alzheimer's Association.
