Larry A. Davis, Sr.

Larry A. Davis, Sr., 69, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Major Hospital in Shelbyville. Born, November 21, 1944 in Beech Grove, Indiana, he was the son of Elbert Davis and Viola (Cramer) Gauck. Larry graduated from St. Paul High School and he was a veteran of the Air Force. He was a former Conservation Officer. He was married to Bernice Hammond and she preceded him in death. He is survived by one son, Larry A. "Goober" (Jennifer) Davis, Jr., Greensburg; one daughter, Kathleen (Jeremy) Schneider, Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Vincent Davis, Erica Lynn Davis, Edward Schneider, John Schneider; two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; two brothers, Danny Davis, Jerry Davis; one sister, Betty Land. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Dan Selby officiating. Interment will be held in the Westport Cemetery in Westport, Indiana.
