William "Billy" Pohle

April 30, 1925 — June 20, 2015

William (Bill) Pohle, Jr. of Butlerville, died on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Heritage House in Greensburg. He was born on April 30, 1925 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana the son of William and Grace (Rector) Pohle. The family moved to the Zenas area in Jennings County in 1931, where he spent the rest of his life. Mr. Pohle served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a logger most of his life and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting Indiana artifacts. He is survived by four children, Bonnie Boggs, Vernon, Dan (Debbie) Pohle, Butlerville, Mike Pohle, Butlerville, Patsi Pohle, Evergreen, Colorado. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 grandchildren. Military graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana. Friends and family are invited to attend. Memorials may be made to the Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or to the local Veterans of Foreign Wars.
