Betty Robbins

Betty Robbins, 89, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. Born October 31, 1926 in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Dellie Roberts and Edith D. (Jackson) Roberts Woods. Betty graduated from Greensburg High School in 1944. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and had been a member of the Star Lite Home Economics Club. She was the Nursery Superintendant for several years at the church and she always had the kids sing "Jingle Bells" every time they met. Betty had worked in all city schools cafeterias. She spent 15 years at the Billings School Cafeteria and retired in 1987. She was married to Louis F. Robbins on December 7, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 13, 1996. She is survived by one son, Larry (Pam) Robbins, Greensburg; one daughter, Roxann (Michael) Linville, Greensburg; two brothers, Donald L. Roberts, Morristown, Paul Richard Wood, Indianapolis; two sisters, Carol (Michael) Larabee, New Palestine, Shari (Michael) Griffith, Shelbyville; five grandchildren, Andy Robbins, Holly (Mark) Schoettmer, Tim Linville, Lana (Clark) Martin, Tammi Davies; 5 great grandchildren, Amanda Schoettmer, Sarah Schoettmer, Larry Huber, Chaela Martin, Dakotta Davies. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; three sisters, Virginia Wewee, Dorothy Ellen Abraham, Ruby Jane Riggs. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 to 1:00 at the First Baptist Church in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the church with Rev. Greg Redd officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
