William R. Evans

William R. "Bob" Evans, 64, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. Born, September 4, 1946 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of T.C. and Mabel (Collins) Evans. Bob graduated from high school in Charleston, South Carolina. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. He worked as a general maintenance man for Cummins, Delta, Textron, and Bohn Aluminum. When Bob wasn't working, he was out playing golf, which was one of his greatest passions. Bob was married to Sally Lucas on May 30, 1992 and she survives. He is survived by his wife, 3 sons; Scott Wright, KY, Chad Evans, Greensburg, David Schott, IL, a daughter; Sarah Rodda, Greensburg, 2 brothers; T.C. "Rocky" Evans, Greensburg, Charles "Tom" Parish, Ventura, CA, 4 sisters; Carolyn (Redmon) Carlson, Boise, ID, Sharon Kramer, Greensburg, Beverly Fleenor, Greensburg, Rosemary Hodson, Shelbyville, IN, and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Interment will be held in the Mt. Aerie Cemetery in Letts, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Decatur County Hospice.
