He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was born to Dan and Lydia Coblentz of Hartville, Ohio. He married Sarah Coblentz on November 4, 1954. They then moved to Milroy, Indiana in 1973. From this union there were 7 children: David Coblentz (Deceased), Christina (Daniel) Stutzman (Milroy IN), Esther (Bennie) Mullet (Millersburg OH), Daniel (Diane) Coblentz (Greensburg IN), Naomi (David) Schmidt (Crofton Ky), Tim (Deceased) (Sara Etta) Coblentz (former Mayslick KY), and Miriam (James) Mast (West Union, OH). He later married Amanda Slabaugh on July 7, 2011, and was a stepdad to her 15 children. Amanda preceded him in death on July 18, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 sons, 2 granddaughters, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 stepson.
He was a farrier and clock smith as well as a farmer. He had a very calm and patient spirit. In later years he developed dementia and lost most of his memory. We rejoice that he no longer has to suffer, but his presence will be missed. The family appreciates your prayers and support. May we all put our trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that we may all meet again some sweet day!
