Eleanor Ploughe, 88, of Lake Placid, FL went home to be with her Lord Tuesday morning, November 25, 2025, at the Advent Health Hospital in Sebring. Eleanor was born on June 23, 1937, in Shirley, Indiana and was the daughter of Anna (Polk) and Edward McKinley. She has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 22 years, moving here from Indiana. Eleanor was of the Christian faith and a member of the Red Hat Society, and the American Legion Placid Post 25 Auxiliary.

She had a passion for music and enjoyed sharing it by playing the piano and guitar at her church during Sunday services, doing arts and crafts. She loved to be with family and friends whenever they could get together, especially time with her grand and great-grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Ray, daughters; Vicki Campbell, Leasa Giles, Tresa Auberry, Jodi Johnson, Terri Ploughe-Pierson, Denise Amonett, sons; Tim Savage, Tony Ploughe, Ronald Ploughe, Steve Anderson, many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and three brothers; Ervin, Steve and Jerry McKindley.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Scott Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid. Graveside services and burial will take place in Greensburg, Indiana at the South Park Cemetery on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 2:30 PM.
