Gisela Ray

Gisela “Gish” Ray, 62, passed away on November 9, 2018 at Morning Breeze Nursing Home in Greensburg.  Gish was born on April 12, 1956 in Nuremberg, Germany to Herbert Purucker and Franzska (Mailander) Kloepsch.  Gish became a CNA in 1976.  She worked for Dr. Lake, Dr. Domingo, and Dr. McCullough, and she worked as an LPN for the Decatur County Memorial Hospital for 14 years.  She loved interior design and she made custom window treatments, and she enjoyed gardening.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Gish married Michael E. Ray, Sr. on June 27, 1972 and he survives.  Other survivors include her parents, Herbert Purucker and Franzska Kloepsch, Feucht, Germany, one son; Michael E. (Tara) Ray, Jr., Avon, three daughters; Kim P. Ray, Milroy, Courtney Lynn (Jeremy) Keith, Versailles, Kristina R. Wilson, Greensburg, one brother; Horst Purucker, Feucht, Germany, two sisters; Birgitt Hansen, Hof, Germany, Petra Kloepsch, Feucht, Germany, and five grandchildren; Keira and Griffin Ray, Kirk, Wyatt, and Oakley Wilson.  A Rosary Service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg followed by visitation until 8 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 10 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. John Meyer officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
