Jon M. Graue

Jon M. Graue, 87, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, in Columbus, Indiana.

Born on May 30, 1938, in Greensburg, Jon was the son of Clifford and Effie (Brown) Graue. He was a proud graduate of St. Paul High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army.

After his military service, Jon returned to Indiana and dedicated his life to farming and carpentry—two vocations he loved dearly. He also enjoyed playing euchre and spending time with friends and family.

On September 5, 1964, Jon married the love of his life, Sharon A. Cobler. They shared a wonderful life together until her passing. Jon was a devoted husband, father, and brother.

He is survived by his children, David (Jean) Graue, Tina (Carol) Graue, and Ryan Graue; and his sister, Sandy McNealy. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Sharon, and his brother-in-law Wayne McNealy.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. An additional hour of visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Star Baptist Church in Decatur County, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Star Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Star Cemetery.

Jon will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love for his family, and the legacy he leaves behind through the land he tended and the lives he touched.
