Kathryn E. Meyer

August 14, 1938 — September 6, 2023

Kathryn E. (Scheidler) Meyer passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. She was born on August 14, 1938, in Greensburg, the daughter of Aloysius and Anna (Stier) Scheidler.

She graduated from Greensburg High School in 1956. She married Donald P. Meyer on April 27, 1957. Together, they had 6 children.

Kay is survived by her children: David (Sandy) Meyer, Greg Meyer, Debbie (Clay) Hargitt, Donna (Chris) Tewmey, and Mike (Saundra) Meyer; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters: Barb Wamsley, Mary Ann Welage, Dottie Hoeing and brother-in-law, Bob (Terry) Meyer.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald; brother, Jim Scheidler; sister-in-law, Kathleen Scheidler; sister, Marjorie Johannigman; brother-in-law, Roman Johannigman; brother-in-law, Carroll Hoeing; daughter, Sandra Meyer; and grandsons, Mark Lee and Keith Meyer.

Family and friends will gather to pray the rosary on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 9:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg. Visitation will be held following the rosary from 9:15 am to 11:00 am. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am with Father John Meyer officiating.
