Ruth Ellen Skotzke

Ruth Ellen Skotzke, 81 was called to her eternal home on Monday June 28, 2021. Ruth was the daughter of James and Bertha Wilhoit who preceded her in death. She graduated Greensburg High school in 1958 and later married her high school sweetheart Robert Skotzke Sr who preceded her in death. Ruth and Robert Sr had to two children who survive: Robert Jr, and Dawn, (Ben).
Ruth and Robert Sr owned Pasquale’s and the Windrift Inn in Greensburg. They later owned Columbus Auto Auction and Taylorsville Car, Truck, and Trailer. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Greensburg. Ruth enjoyed hosting get togethers for her family and friends.
Ruth is survived by her children and grandchildren: Elyse (Josh) Morgan, Alea Samuelson, Logan Skotzke, Robert III (Emily) Skotzke, Sarah Skotzke, and one great-grandson Yosef Samuelson. Ruth is also survived by sisters-in-law Iris Wilhoit, Judy (Paul) Schneider and brother-in-law Tom Skotzke. As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ruth was preceded in death by her brothers: Bill, Carl, Danny, and Hubert.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 11am to 1pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home.
